Greetings Everyone,
Welcome to this edition of the Troth of Odin Newsletter.
We hope everyone had a great Lunasa or Lammas Day celebration on eve of July 31st.
This celebration represented a turning point in the earths year.
A harvest festival in the Northern most parts of our lands.
The patron Gods of this festival are Freyr and Gerd who are husband and wife.

During August we have a couple minor fesitvals on or about the 21st to the 26th.
In the Asatru it is the Harvestmoon. August 24 th Saxon festival Weodmonath
festival of the runes and the mind.
And the 26th beginning of the harvest festival.
A simple ritual is in order for our festivals.
All our rituals are held in the evening as our days are based on the lunar cycle.
A typical Troth Of Odin Ritual for our celebrations takes place outdoors but this
is not needed, indoors is fine as well.
But outdoors is prefered as our faith is a nature based religion.
The ritual should take place inside a circle either drawn on the ground, with 8 stones
made into a circle or just making a imaginary circle with your sword or dagger is in order.
Your sword and daggers should be consecrated first by asking
the Dwarves to bless your weapons
by placing them on the altar and passing a piece of metal or pyrite
over them naming your weapons and carve or
paint in red it's name on the hilt as is the tradition.
A simple altar should be erected to the North of the circle by a tree.
A ritual can be done alone or with your kinsmen.
Stone altar is prefered but wood will do and should be lit by 4 candles.
A drinking horn, mead, candles sword or dagger and a sacrifice is needed.
A yellow candle placed to the east and call powers of the air to guard this ritual.
A red candle to the south lit and call unto the powers of fire to protect the ritual.
A green candle to the north for the powers of the earth
And a blue candle lit to the west for the powers of water.
Runic symbols for Odin Freya and Thor on or around the altar.
Your sword or dagger and drinking horn placed on the altar.
A sacrificial offering should be placed on the altar.
Animal is prefered but the burning of an incense will do.
As the sacrifice is offered pay tribute and Hail the Ancient God's of Asgard Odin
Thor and Freya as well as the patron God or Goddesses of the festival.
Giving them the appropriate thanks, the words used should
give the respect they are due.
Pass the drinking horn around to each member and each
should thank the Gods in their own words.
Asking the Gods for favorable outcomes for harvest , battle etc for
what ever the theme of the ritual.
Any mead not consumed should be poured on the ground in front of the altar
to give thanks to the mother earth.
The ritual is closed by blowing out each of the candles and thanking the Gods
and the 4 elements for their protection of the ritual.
The circle is removed as well as the altar.
Rituals can be for any reason not just for the holidays.
A ritual to defeat an enemy would invoke Odin Thor and Tyr etc.
We will pick up from were we left off last month with the torturous
conversions of the early Pagans.
It is inconceivable to us that there are people that support this fraudulent facade of
a religion that is built
on the dead bodies of tens of million peoples. With the Witch burnings, persecutions,
torture and mass slaughters
of unbelievers as well as trying to
erase the culture and faiths of other peoples.
Their crimes have yet to be avenged and the criminals punished.
These christian conspirators destroyed our ancestors cultures, spirituality and heritage
as well as books and much learnings.
They prized illiteracy and ignorance as it helped christianity spread.
No one was even allowed to own or read a bible thru the middle ages up until about
1450 with the first printed bible in Europe.
Not even Charlemagne could read and he could barely scrawl his signature.
Any copies of the bible were in some churches monasteries and owned by the wealthy and in
Latin, Hebrew and Greek only.
A majority of people could not read their own language yet alone Latin.
And if you were caught trying to read it or had any writings from it you would be
put to death.They basically were told to believe it or die.
Either being tortured to death or be damned to the fires of hell.
NOTE: The word Hell is taken from OUR Goddess Hel or Hella
whose womb was a place of immortality.
The christians demonized this and made it a place of damnation .
Made it into a fiery hell comparing it to the womb of the earth, the volcano.
After the christianization of Rome Julian became Emporer.
He did so because he claimed he was a christian.
When he came to power he stated
he was really a Pagan and he restored all the Pagan temples
and allowed religious freedom.
Well they would not be tricked and humiliated they had Julian killed
within the year of his reign.
Julian rejected this religion and in his own words said "If anyone should wish
to know the truth with respect to you
christians, he will find your
impiety to be made up partly of Jewish audacity and partly of indifference
and confusion of the Gentiles, and that
you have put together not the best
but the worst characteristics of both of them"

We thank you for the interest in our Troth.
Many shocking insights into the Christian faith are to come so please stay with us,
it will definitely shock and outrage you.
This issue will deal with the early conversions of the Pagans.
We will start with the claims from the early Christian historians that the
European Barbarians embraced this new faith. NOT SO!
We did not give up our faith willingly. Our faith was and is
essential to the function of the earths cycles.
Christians' claimed a hope of immortality and a more kind ethic.
When in fact we had our own hope of immortality and
our own ethic which was far better
than the cruel conversion techniques of forced christianization.
Case in point: Justinian converted 70,000 in Asia minor with such cruelty
that that population later
adopted Islam to rid themselves of the rigors of christian rule.
The Heathens never tried to convert anyone to their beliefs.
We believe all peoples have a right to self determination and to worship freely.
The Asatru and Odinism is the bond of our people.
It's customs, beliefs and rituals are ours and ours alone.
The Heathen folk resisted this new faith even after their rulers
adopted it for it's material and political gains.
The Pagan "Savoyards" labeled christians "idiots" hence Cretins, from the word
Chretians meaning christians.
German pagans labeled them Bigots from the word " bei Gott".
We resisted christianity where ever it reared it's ugly head.
Nation after nation died under the sword resisting christianity
because it's doctrines were repugnant.
They twisted our sacred symbols and made them negative.
Example:The number 13 today is thought to be unlucky
this was to discredit Freyja. This is her symbol and it was a positive number.
Just as the black cat was made into an evil thing this was also her symbol.
The sacred Thorn Rune symbol of Thor
who was revered by all Pagans in one form or another
was made out to be an evil rune. Much more information on these and other
atrocities will be revealed in issues to come.
Hail King Radbod!
King Radbod of the Frisians refused to abandon his Gods when a Missionary
told him that Valhalla was like the christian Hell!
King Radbod wanted to know were his ancestors were then if their was no Valhalla?
He was told they were burning in Hell because they were Heathens.
This is a quote from King Radbod:
"You dastardly priest! How dare you say my ancestors are in hell.
I would rather be in Valhalla by my Great God Odin I swear.
I would 10,000 times join those heroes in hell
than to be in your heaven of priests."
This quote is from "Walker" during the 11th century.
When threats of hell and other sweet talk failed to impress the Pagans
they began turning the screws
by outlawing Pagan Priests, our holidays and our beliefs.
They were barred from certain jobs, their temples destroyed
and those who practiced openly were put to death.
But isn't it ironic that all the Christian holidays are based on our Pagan holidays.
christmas / Yule
easter /Ostara
as well as our symbols.
The Yule tree is Germanic Pagan in origin.
The list goes on and on.
As well as non religious holidays also.
Veterens Days / EINHERIAR
and more.
Under Pope Leo's rule it was the death penalty for the Heathens.
People even feared to look at the sun for being labeled a heretic and put to death.
Under the religion of the "Prince of Peace"
the most horrendous torture methods ever devised slaughtered
tens of millions world wide in the name of Christ!
We do not mean to shock or offend anyone with the following descriptions
but these are the torture techniques used by the
Catholic Conversion Torture Squads as detailed in the Fourth Maccabees.
Women and young girls had hot pokers and sharp objects
slammed into their private area.
Priests violently raped women and young girls.
Men and boys had their private parts crushed, ripped or cut off.
Men and women of all ages had their skin pulled off with hot pincers
and their tongues ripped out.
They were subjected to Diabolical Machines that crushed their bones.
Their arms and legs smashed with sledgehammers. If their was anything left of them
they were hanged and burned alive.
Rabid absolute evil in the name of christ!!! Upon Our people!!!
There will be more to come on this and the perversions of the early christians
that even continue today in issues to follow.

Also the festival of Sleipner The festival of Life on the 22nd to 26th of July
These are minor festivals.
But we like to have festivals and good time.

The time is just right with the release of the movie "The Passion"
to shine a little light on the Jesus Christ story and compare the simularities
with stories of gods thousands of years before.
We here at the Troth of Odin believe that peoples should be able to believe
in a faith of their choice.
The Northern peoples had worshiped their Gods for centuries unmolested.
During the migration period (pre Viking era) as well as thru the middle ages
alot of forced christianization
was going on. Either by the sword or by cohersion.
Charlemagnes military campaigns with the popes blessing annexed
all the germanic tribes.
His Franks, the Longobards, Burgurdians, Vandals and Goths.
Massive slaughters of Heathen Norse peoples done in the name of christ.
Why?
Was it a better story?
Most of the Gods of ancient peoples were based on a real person that lived.
It is said that Odin himself was based on a early Norse Chieftain
that sought Wisdom and knowledge.
In doing so a mortal man can achieve a God status
through sacrifice, wisdom and knowledge.
Remember the Adam and Eve story? The apple was from the tree of knowledge.
By eating the apple you will have the knowledge of God and be like him.
I will list a few ancient gods and a few details of their stories and compare
Them to the christ story.
Ancient gods: All these stories pre date christ by thousands of years.
You make your own conclusions.

Disappeared for 18 years.
Had 12 disciples
Performed miracles
Crucified between 2 theives
Buried and resurrected in 3 days.
